Apple is a classic case of how a company can win girls' hearts. Take the example of its Macbook laptops, they are very thin, smooth, and maybe most importantly, free from the necessity for people to acquire technical knowledge about computers in order to maintain them.

You can see myriads and myriads of girls who bear Macbooks around. Many of those girls would rather pay premium prices for Mac computers and yet buy some other stuff from cheap dollar stores.
