I was brought up in the then nearly monolithically atheist China and still remains to be nonreligious. But now I guess that in any given country, joy and peace appear more often and abide longer in an average religious person than in an average atheist.

I suspect that even if I lived my life before the internet age, I would still be wrung by information overload. :-)
