Mike Weir Interview
http://www.cbc.ca/national/blog/video/sports/mike_weir_interview.html
This blog is partly devoted to the sharing of my learning of the English language (my well mastered mother tongue is Chinese and I am not an English teacher) and its *cultures*, partly to the current significant trends in Canada and in the world, and partly to my own random thoughts and little life. I am not religious, but I am somewhat interested in Christianity and Buddhism, among other personal interests. Welcome. And, have a good day.

Wolfgang Wagner, grandson of German composer Richard Wagner, is in his final season as director of the Bayreuth Festival. His daughter Katharina, left, has plans to incorporate new technology. (Eckehard Schulz/Associated Press) How much would opera fans be willing to pay for an exclusive online viewing of Wagner's Die Meistersinger of Nuernberg from the Bayreuth Festival?
Germany's annual opera festival devoted to the works of Richard Wagner has set a price and it's a high one — $77.
The festival will show opera live online for the first time during the performance of Die Meistersinger (The MasterSingers of Nuremberg) that opens the event July 27.
Only 10,000 will be able to sign up for the online video. There will also be a free viewing in the Bayreuth public square.
The concept is a new twist for the opera world, where companies are looking for ways to develop young audiences.
