This blog is partly devoted to the sharing of my learning of the English language (my well mastered mother tongue is Chinese and I am not an English teacher) and its *cultures*, partly to the current significant trends in Canada and in the world, and partly to my own random thoughts and little life.

Wow. I didn't know that Somalia, the country which is currently suffering the big famine, is very largely Muslim.
Does that fact have something to do with the historical influences of the Umayyad Caliphate, a huge ancient Arab empire? Or with those of some other Persian or Arab empire(s)?
