This blog is partly devoted to the sharing of my learning of the English language (my well mastered mother tongue is Chinese and I am not an English teacher) and its *cultures*, partly to the current significant trends in Canada and in the world, and partly to my own random thoughts and little life. I am not religious, but I am somewhat interested in Christianity and Buddhism, among other personal interests. Welcome. And, have a good day.

With its literal meaning, Victor is a good first name.
It being a last name is even better. People will call the household "the Victors". How brilliant.

It seems that so many Hong Kong people are so into the Callable Bull/Bear Contracts (a.k.a. CBBC).
A ticket to immense personal troubles.

For a piece of apparel, probably a small ticket with "designed in La Ville-Lumière" printed on it carries a little more glamour and merit than one with "designed in the City of Angels".
Regarding the latter city mentioned, Los Angeles' metropolitan area inhabits around 16 million people. It's huge, from the point of view of Montréal.

It's been reported that at least one militia in Ukraine has been formed and in training.
If the crisis in Ukraine continues, probably more and more militias will come into force in that country.
There are far too many crises in this globalized world. The lasting Great Recession (infamously a.k.a. "The Second Great Depression"), the food crisis, and the water crisis.
Now there's a global garbage crisis. (See http://globalnews.ca/news/952340/global-garbage-crisis-looming-say-experts/ .)
At the same time, it appears that the weather crisis is looming.
However, as individuals, we shouldn't have over-the-top worries, just do the best that we can.
