This blog is partly devoted to the sharing of my learning of the English language (my well mastered mother tongue is Chinese and I am not an English teacher) and its *cultures*, partly to the current significant trends in Canada and in the world, and partly to my own random thoughts and little life. I am not religious, but I am somewhat interested in Christianity and Buddhism, among other personal interests. Welcome. And, have a good day.

How come I see more and more grief in the societies of both U.S.A. and China?
And, how come I see more and more discussions about the dissipation of ancient empires?

Some lousy wives give their men lip.
Some unwise wives want their men to be wusses who are bossed around by them.

Among the Chinese languages movies, some Hong Kong movies are doozies really. Fashion, visual style, music, entertainment, depth, morality, they have them all.
Of course you shouldn't watch a Hong Kong movie with its dialogues interpreted into Mandarin. That would reduce it to a lackluster.

Chinese descendants are scattered all over the world.
Japan, South Korea, Southeastern Asia, Africa, U.S.A., Canada, The Carribeans, South America, Europe. You name a country, then there are a lot of Chinese offsprings in it. Even the teeny weeny state of Mauritius has got a large group of Chinese people.
Of course, Indians are like that, too.

Once I was genuinely asking a young Quebecois girl for the directions in a shopping centre, and she didn't give me the time of day.
"Sorry, I don't speak English," and then the stuck-up girl simply walked away.

It's a huge waste for the society that many people have to sleuth jobs.
Most of that time should be spent working and yielding real results.

By submitting to sheer power and mere money worship, probably many civil servants in China have turned into complete minions.
Especially in the wake of the prominent case of Bo Xilai.
It's sad to see Microsoft, the monument of the lifelong work of Bill Gates and many software developers, to go south.
It's even sadder to see that it seems that all Microsoft has left nowadays is just cash, tons of cash.
