This blog is partly devoted to the sharing of my learning of the English language (my well mastered mother tongue is Chinese and I am not an English teacher) and its *cultures*, partly to the current significant trends in Canada and in the world, and partly to my own random thoughts and little life. I am not religious, but I am somewhat interested in Christianity and Buddhism, among other personal interests. Welcome. And, have a good day.

It's reported that South Korea is a hive of activity. Work has almost solely occupied many people's life.
They even don't cook at home and only eat food made outside home day after day.
Memorial services tend to be too long for outsiders.
But anyways, they are not for outsiders in the first place.

Shouldn't people be upset by the fact that so many couples, well known or not, separate or divorce?
A nascent case is the prominent household of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. See http://goo.gl/U9yS5n .

Personally I wouldn't prefer working in an open concept office.
Coffee houses are the utmost open concept floor. I can't stand the noise level there while thinking.

Well, "pick flowers" is not authentic English, which was what I used to think it is.
It's an expression in Thai, instead! See http://thaitranslation.wordpress.com/2008/11/03/polite-v-vulgar-part-two-bodily-functions/ .

Nowadays I'm slightly disinclined to get social with friends.
I've got so many ideas over how to spend my time.

I still don't get why so many Canadians are so crazy about "nutritional" supplement PILLS, such as antioxidants, sold in PHARMACIES.
They are not natural, they are man-made pills!

"Chef my ass" and "chef my foot" mean the same thing.
Now you get what "ass" and "foot" indicate in English. And is it unpleasant to "put one's foot in one's mouth"? You bet.
