For an individual, the mundaneness of the daily life needs to be countered and that needs time or even energy.

Among the ways to counter that mundaneness are entertainment, love, poetry, or elevation.

People call that countering "recreation".

Very powerful entities and organizations which look unassailable today may disintegrate in a matter of years.

In this era of information overload, most forms of writing should be succinct, terse, and clear.

Pablo Picasso once said or wrote, "Art is never chaste. It ought to be forbidden to ignorant innocents, never allowed into contact with those not sufficiently prepared. Yes, art is dangerous. Where it is chaste, it is not art."

Is the chastity mentioned in his above quote different than purity?

The fluidity of mind is driven by imagination and reasoning. The former cannot get certificated, but the latter often get certificated by one or more diplomas, generally speaking.

Competition is permanent. Don't get galled by it.

The "follow" relationship on microblog websites, such as Twitter, is UNIDIRECTIONAL, while that on SNS websites, such as Facebook, is BIDIRECTIONAL.

有營養的軟文都是很微妙滴。

The displaying of information, including text, charts and images, is consequential. Not to mention the presentation of information.

Fine and delicate balancing act for Quebec

In order to keep the identity of their own French cultural root, the Quebec people need to enforce some sort of language preservation measures. On the other hand, in order to achieve or enhance the fluidity of movements of Quebec's economy, capital, talents and workers, the Quebec people need to continuously enhance their English proficiency and their presence in and engagement with the world at large whose lingua facto has increasingly focused on the English language.

It is a fine and delicate balancing act for the Quebec government and the Quebec people to take up in the years to come.

Unchecked and unexamined selfishness is a canker.

Reality drives the evolution of one's dreams in life.

識人,實為一要務。

I think it's very consequential for an individual to acquire or possess a vision that can fathom the circumscription which he will have to face and deal with in his later life stages.

Now there's a term "Facebook depression", which is used to depict a current phenomenon among North American teenagers.

Canadians receive too many importunities in letters week after week, I think. This way of life isn't attractive.

The five major components of English learning are Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking, and Vocabulary. I'm gonna call them the pentameter of English acquirement.

Many procurers are quite chary.

Usually, people need to watch out the sons of high ranking officials.

I guess that less and less people care about the blow-by-blow accounts of news events, which have tended to be omnipresent in the traditional media, nowadays.

There's a town named "Ajax" in Ontario, Canada. Gee.

Perhaps the popularity of Taylor Swift has something to do with the implicit hint of chasteness in her music and own person, in the seemingly sexy world of American teenagers.

It seems that many Chinese people, both domestic and overseas, are very natural hoarders.

D.O.D., a.k.a. the Pentagon, has spawned and sponsored so many seeds of modern technologies.

Without sufficient critical thinking skills and background knowledge, an individual tends to be prone to calumnious influences.

Employees usually want to emancipate themselves from their managers, especially those micromanaging ones.

As an information consumer, among all the information streams which I subscribe to, for some, I receive all the information in those streams, and for others, I just take snapshots.

While the number of Christians has been in decline among native Westerners, more and more staunch Christians have emerged among the first-generation Chinese immigrants in the U.S. and Canada.

Many internet companies send importunate emails to the users of their services.

Well, users have to pay that price for the free services they take advantage of.

Maybe, just maybe, black people are naturally not very fit for ballet dancing, due to the way the back of their hips is built and that cannot be tucked very well.

Well, different races have different strengths.

For any sovereignty, the circumscription of the fields which foreign capital can enter into is of vital consequences but also is a delicate art.

Sometime Lady Gaga makes herself look like a sorceress. Well, her artistry appears challenging.

Some Westerners don't think Chinese people emote.

Floating and Absolute Positioning are two major CSS layout tools. And they are tedious.

The studying in North American universities of the native speakers of Chinese is GREATLY impeded by their highly probable insufficient English proficiency. My friends and I were among them.

Can you really trust Western banks? I don't think so. Not any one of them.

The existence of raunchy inner cities has its economic reasons.

"Picasa" is the name of Google's online image organizer and photo sharing program. And that name has something to do with Picasso.

""Picasa" is a blend of the name of famed Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the phrase mi casa for "my house", and "pic" for pictures (personalized art)."

The offices and buildings of the federal government in Canada tend to look chaste.

I love FM radio stations. Douban.FM is a good example.

How to properly interpret the words and teaching in the Bible seems to very difficult, subtle, and ambiguous.

For one thing, in the New Testament, Jesus told people to love their enemies, and 'turn the other cheek' to their assailants (St Luke, Chapter 6). Obviously, the U.S. government didn't follow that specific piece of teaching in its handling of the 911 attack. What would it do if the U.S. were ruled by a Christian government instead of by a secular one, against the backdrop that the U.S. has always been a deeply Christian nation?

Read in English, and read fast.

The hefty Nokia is depending on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 platform, at least in the short term. I still can't believe it. Gee.

What information material of the media's websites is mirrored in SNS sites must be of great interest for the media.

On a related note, in a sense, individual SNS users are sort of like mini news stands which disseminate media material pieces, independent of the media companies.

I guess that a sense of wonder is vital for an individual when he first encounters a branch or unit of knowledge.

That being said, it seems that many university professors, in both China and Canada, are not good at conveying that sense of wonder.

It seems that technology firms are nifty competitors to all sectors' established players.

The Berkshire Hathaway companies are advertising sort of aggressively now. Well, the shrewd Warren Buffet.

It looks like that Huawei, a giant Chinese telecom tech company, has begun to globalize and Westernize really seriously.

I suspect that many Western countries are beginning or will begin to breed a more coherent national identity among its citizens of various cultural backgrounds.

Life must be miserable from time to time for the web developers in China. The very backward IE6 browser is still in horrifyingly wide use over there.

Perhaps I'll take up an Android tablet at the end of this year.

It's in the human nature to swing for the fences at the fist sight of something new. But we must counter that with reasoning.

Maneuvering one's career looks quite heady.

But I'm not sure how much the so-called career planning can really help. If it largely is an art, then you cannot be really taught by a hired career consultant. If it largely is a science, then you cannot be helped much by it because the environment in which you try to implement it cannot be controlled.

I guess how well neighbors know each other is proportional to the amount of the engaged shared spaces which are very close by.

The universities in the U.S. and Canada seem to be bloated. There are too many professors and instructors.

Perhaps there will be some form of lay-offs which will have to be done, against the backdrop of the rising of e-learning. Otherwise the financial burden to pay all the university employees would look too much for the society.

Canada is an excellent society and withal a cold country.

How come Google can hit so many sweet spots in its various lines of business? Gee.

It's been said that the uptake of Android smart phones has surpassed that of iPhone devices.

Whenever an individual enters an employment relationship with an employer, he is entering a relationship of exchanging perceived economic values.

That is an iron law.

It shouldn't take long for a smart phone app to complete its sign-in authentication process.

Otherwise it would give its users slight nerves. People use it on the go and hence cannot wait long at all.

Only after having lived in a relatively advanced country, Canada in my case, for some years, I have really realized how crucial the independent thinking is for an individual.

The feeds pushing of the Wordpress platform appears to be a little problematic from time to time.

Standard interlocked mats add one more functional layer to a room.

The Motorola Xoom tablet calls for attention.

It was launched into the market in February, the previous month.

It seems that the prophetic Warren Buffet has been acquiring insurance companies over the years.

General Motors EN-V - Wikipedia

Gee. This GM EN-V concept car blows me away: General Motors EN-V - Wikipedia.

On a related note, I suspect that the consumers in China will possibly get their hands on the EN-V thing earlier than their counterparts in the U.S. and Canada.

In the past, thews on a man were for fighting. In this era, they are largely for displaying.

Sweet spots in the web development industry are moving targets.

My hometown in China still looked to be stuck in a state of torpor, when I visited it last year.

It seemed not to be in a position to "win some or learn some". Sigh.

Hilary Clinton looks like top political timber.

Oftentimes, in front of truth, we must make earnest and unbiased suppliances in order to get it.

Comparing with cinemas, a lot of TV channels are sort of like content farms.

You have to pay up front in order to watch a flick in a cinema. But you pay zero cent to watch programs on many TV channels.

Due to an ever escalating hectic construction boom since around a decade ago, the old Beijing has largely been disappearing. Beijing, one of the mega cities of China, is not Beijing any more.

Now I know that a city is NOT a geographic term. Instead, it is a cultural term and a term of LIFESTYLE.

Sweet deep slumbers can only be led to by a certain threshold of the degree of the state of prior relaxation.

Sometimes details are trifling. Other times the devil is in the details. It is pivotal to differentiate between the two sorts of details.

A cop wears a gun. A woman wears her make-up. A man wears a key of his premium car.

It tends to be a little subtle for a native speaker of Chinese to discern the nerves in the tones of the native speakers of English.

Every professional fortuneteller must have a sibylline book which offers infallible explanations for people's coming fates.

Should the companies which make internet games cooperate with the government more, in order to rein in the relentlessly long gaming sessions of some gamers, hence avoid the society to view the game makers as sorcerers?
