It seems that yoga belongs to both Hinduism and Buddhism.

Historically, both Hinduism and Buddhism originated in India. But the latter has been nourishing China and flourishing in it for over a thousand years, at the same time dying out in India.

By the way, the reputedly vegetarian Sikh is a sect of Hinduism.

Judaists are divided into many levels, as well as branches.

It seems that Christianity is against one being idolatrous.

The Christian view of idolatry is intriguing to me.

Interestingly, Armageddon, the apocalypse, was foretold in both Christianity and Islam.

In Christianity, the God dispatched Jesus to save the human beings.

In Buddhism, there are many Buddhas who live through different eras of human history.

Divinity (i.e. 上帝) is different than Karma (i.e. 因果报应).

For that matter, Christianity is different from Buddhism.

Some Christians sort of plead with God to form a perpetual bond. But does God think pleading is the best form of praying?

Being unaffiliated with any particular religion, I'm used to unconsciously linking "freedom" to secular freedom. You know, freedom of speech, freedom of choice, things like that.

However, I stumbled upon the Wikipedia entry on Yonsei University (延世大學), one of the prestigious SKY universities in South Korea. And the web page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonsei_University#Christianity) states:

Yonsei University is a school founded on Christian principles and purporting to "produce Christian leaders with the spirits of freedom and truth".

Well, what do "the spirits of freedom" mean in Christianity?

It seems that in Judaism, a human being is sinful, but he can expiate via some means.

What about in Christianity?

A contradiction of marriage vow and divorcing act

The customary Roman Catholic marriage vow reads like this in English:

"Do you, ____, take , ____, to be your (husband/wife), to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part. I, ____, take you, ____, to be my (husband/wife). I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life."

But it's a fact that some Roman Catholics do get divorced, at least in Canada. I wonder if that tends to turn them astray from their Catholic religion. After all, they broke their serious Catholic marriage vow.

In the Buddhism of China and Taiwan, eating no meat has been held as a piety.

What about the Buddhism in Japan, India, Thailand, and other countries? What about that in the ancient era in which Buddha lived?

A question: Why is the Christian God "a jealous god"?

As in the Bible:Exodus 20:5, "You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me".

基督教徒的“信主即得救”的說法貌似不是非常的準確。當信主的人經歷屬靈黑暗期的時候呢？得救的人深陷黑暗的時候，是否又可以算作沒有得救呢？
