Space is at such a premium in Hong Kong. I don't understand why some Chinese still want to go there.

In addition, will the future of HK be a bright one? I doubt it.

People's confidence in an institution is proportional to the accountability of that institution.

These years, I've been harrowed by the almost disastrous complexity of information acquiring and filtering.

There was a two-year long Klondike Gold Rush in Yukon, Canada roughly a hundred years ago. Given the proximity of Yukon to Alaska, did one or more similar gold rushes happen in Alaska?

Elegance is the moniker of France.

Acquiring proficient oral English seems to be a hallowed pursuit among the ESL learners in China.

However, I personally consider what really matters is not what the tongue can voice, instead, it is what the mind can deliver.

It intrigues me why the national policy makers across the world all make parents pay for their children's daycare, while they make the society, a.k.a. taxpayers, pay for the children's elementary and secondary school education.

For all the risks of potential traumatic earthquakes, many people, especially rich new immigrants from China, are still flocking to Vancouver and pushing the real estate prices over there higher and higher.

I don't understand that. It's a risky area to live in. Quakes are coming sooner or later.

We must constantly ask ourselves these questions: Do I have time to season myself for nuance? And, should my worldview ever stop evolving?

There are all sorts of hidden premiums you have to pay for financial products. So you have to be very very careful when purchasing them. This is a very complicated world.

The U.S. will rally to lead the world again very effectively, I guess.

For all its seemingly limitless potential in a naive eye, life develops within various very powerful constraints and much potential is doomed at the beginning.

Artwork of digital music pieces usually looks very goodly and hence makes the music more appealing to potential listeners.

Herbal lenient medicine is well known and widespread in China's homes. On the other hand, I don't know many existing in Canada.

Well, the existence of divisions within any alliance is always inevitable.

Well, I suspect that Christianity already is the premier religion among the Chinese descendants overseas who are religious.

Lately I encountered a person that likes to attack people, with no good reason, in an internet forum.

She may do that out of irrational thinking, jealousy, or something else, for all I know.

People like that will eat their own folly, for all I care.

Methinks Egypt will have a very difficult journey ahead. Just my gut feeling.

Neither democracy nor the Chinese economic model is a silver bullet for economic prosperity.

Music video - 7 Years and 50 Days - Groove Coverage

Groove Coverage is a German band.

Lyrics:
7 years and 50 days
7 years and 50 days, the time is passing by
Nothing in this world can be as nice as you and I
And how could we break up like this?
And how could we be wrong?
So many years, so many days and I still sing my song
Now I run to you like I always do
When I close my eyes I think of you
Such a lonely girl
Such a lonely world
When I close my eyes I dream
I return to you like I always do
When I close my eyes I think of you
Such a lonely girl
Such a lonely world
When I close my eyes I dream Of you
7 years and 50 days, now just look at me
Am I the girl I use to be
So damn what do you see?
And how could we break up like this?
And how could we be wrong?
So many years, so many days and I still sing my song
Now I run to you like I always do
When I close my eyes I think of you
Such a lonely girl
Such a lonely world
When I close my eyes I dream
I return to you like I always do
When I close my eyes I think of you
Such a lonely girl
Such a lonely world
When I close my eyes I dream Of you

Many Egyptians have endured living in hovels for so long. Some people even live in cemeteries.

I don't know if a similar situation will appear in Shanghai and Beijing.

A man must know how to shun sucky career paths.

Black hats hide well.

And white hats don't expose themselves very well sometimes.

Actually homilies are often necessary, I think.

In fact, when a person actually disrespects others, or even both disrespects and takes advantage of others, that does not equal to gaming them.

However, it doesn't look pleasant in the eyes of others.

Go = 圍棋.

The Blogger platform should incorporate more keyboard shortcuts in order to make online writing more convenient and smooth and less tiring for its users.

My impression has been that the Canadian laws and courts are generally very lenient with petty crimes, such as grocery store thefts. And that, drives small retailers crazy.

I guess that many people are waiting and discerning for the premiere, the debut, of the next Facebook.

Human dealings run deep.

The Gang of Four = 四人幫.

The force of money is not necessarily in alliance with that of morality.

If Apple becomes more web oriented, then I'll seriously consider gradually parting from Google and embracing Apple.

The other day, a friend sensed my perturbation just over the phone, immediately.

I was amazed by that.

Facebook is still a waste of time for many people.

I am waiting for that inflection point to happen after which it won't be the case any more.

However, well, maybe Twitter really is better.

Maybe ten years down the road, I'll be capable of smoothly grasping the contents in The Economist, the premier British mag. Or even earlier than that.

Sometime I think I have the potential to become a premium chef.

The question is, if I chose the profession of chef, would I have the luck to become an excellent one?

Anyways, just some gibber-jabber. :-)

My ignorance galls me. So I set out to enlighten myself. Now the information overload galls me.

Heads I lose, tails I lose. :-)

In the great endeavors of people rallying behind monetary gains, China has lost its soul, I'm afraid.

Canada, a medley of people of all races, all backgrounds, and all cultural identities, is run by Anglo-Saxons' ideas.

Was the Soviet Union, the former state of Russia, a good member of the Allies of World War II? Seems not.

The payload part in a URL reveals quite a few things.

Canadian consumers are not allying with RIM, which is a Canadian company. Market economy is market economy. After all, RIM is just a business which must eat its own folly.

That's the iron rule of free market.

I guess that during difficult economic times, the alliance between the government and the industry is tighter and closer.

The dynamics within a country and nation is not easy to grasp at all.

"Hercules" is the Roman name for the Greek demigod "Heracles".

Keywords: Twelve labors of Hercules.

It seems that the gnarled club in Hercules' hand is his favorite weapon to attack and kill.

There seems to be a self-indulgent flair to most jazz pieces.

Unwind. Unwind.

As a matter of fact, acquiring sophisticated English is a long long slog for ESL learners.

Well, it seems that Dr. Dambisa Moyo, a prominent economist and popular author, is not currently affiliated with any academic institution.

Politics plays intimately with economics oftentimes. No wonder the exitence of the term "Political Economy".

I'm sorry. But for the time being, I don't trust the quality of customer service of Bell Canada at all. In addition, for the time being, I don't trust their mobile phone branch.

Well, so I won't purchase a Motorola Atrix 4G smart phone, which must be accompanied by a 3-year contract with Bell Canada, the sole seller. Sigh. The phone itself, is such a marvelous monster machine. I have to let it go.

Nomads from Asia.

As a matter of fact, both the WWI and the WWII were initiated by Germany.

Think about that.

And think about how people consider the Russia power.

During a certain period, I felt quite retarded, especially at school, mainly because my English level was very primitive and inadequate, comparing with my native speaker classmates.

"All tears", "and press the rue for wine."

I've become intrigued by the subject matter of China Studies.

Don't be incredulous about the friendliness and grace of Douban.FM .

I highly recommend it.

An ally and friend is hard to come by.

A sales channel can be a platform. It also can be one of your clients.

Although sometimes sales is more important than marketing, the latter is more vital than the former, actually.

I can't understand why Nokia chose Windows Phone 7 to bet upon.

Well, what measures can retard the gradual decline of the competitiveness of Canadian businesses in the global market?

Tardiness with a specific matter usually is caused by the matter's low priority, among the competing priorities, or disinterest, or both.

Denis Diderot, an ancient and prominent French philosopher and writer, looks intriguing for me.

Philosophy is vital, actually.

You know what? I like listening to the Japanese speaking in Japan's domestic TV advertisements.

It's said that the demand for individuals with technical skills allied with social skills is rampant.

"Frailty, thy name is woman".

Nearly all companies are rallying to cloud computing.

When a person sees people expressing their opinions dogmatically, his faculty of reasoning should feel to cringe.

Well, I tend to be gabby from time to time.

'Merrymaking' is an interesting word.

You see, merriness is made, it is not spontaneous.

People stand on the rubbles of the multi-year economic crisis and almost live mirthlessly.

Capitalism is a tough system in which you don't want to lose yourself.

Very few entrepreneurs have been able to really build up their businesses only in their off-hours outside a regular job, tardily but surely.

It is often ignored that dictionaries can assist us a great deal with our English learning.

對我來說,任何一個豆瓣小組的吸引力程度往往和該小組的組長和管理員對其持續進行的運營維護的好壞成正比。

Personally I really think Google's stoppage of evolving the Google Notebook, which had once been a cool and handy gadget, was a misstep.

Google somewhat lost me and some other users there.

Google Reader is becoming out of touch.

Ideally, it should be capable of building various filters. But it's not. Not to mention those filters which are NOT ONLY keyword-based.

As for other providers, the Yahoo Pipes seems to be too convoluted to use and not very reliable, and Feedrinse.com too simple.

I don't know what I'll do. It seems that many people have given up RSS feeds and turn to Facebook, Twitter, and the like. But I really like RSS, which seems to be alive and well, contrast to the popular claim "RSS is dead".
